If you have ever dreamt of experiencing classic outdoor activities on a quintessential country estate - then Crogen ticks all the boxes. Whether it’s a family break, a trip with friends or a corporate team building course, Crogen won’t disappoint. We are an enthusiastic and sporting family and love to share all the facilities that Crogen has to offer. We can hire out equipment, advise on suitable walks and - if the legs fail - despatch our trusty Landrover to come and pick you up! For perhaps corporate days, we are happy to ‘rent out’ the Estate to allow you the flexibility to bring in your own fleet of sporting experts! All relevant charges are available on request and advanced notice required.

Tennis

Located within the enchanting original walled kitchen garden, nestled in a pine forest, this newly laid all weather court could even tempt the complete novice to pick up a racket. Win or loose - the setting is simply uplifting. (We have heard one or two corks popping from behind the wall!). Private coaching is available upon request.

River and Lake Fishing

1 mile of single bank is available for 2 to 3 rods per day. The River Dee is famous for Grayling and for those who fish in September and October, there are also Salmon. Up in the hills there is an enchanting private hill lake situated in a wood which is stocked with Trout. Licences can be obtained from the local Post Office which is 1˝ miles from Crogen. Fishing rods and private tuition are available on request.

Orienteering

Crogen Estate has all manner of challenging orienteering courses, or for the novice - not so challenging!

Get Wet

Get Wet provides a wide range of outdoor activities to suit everyone! Get Wet currently has 2 public access high ropes courses and a paintball site, all located on Crogen Estate. Get Wet is also in the process of cleaning up a huge rock face at the same location and will be able to offer climbing and abseiling activities very soon. Watersports

The Dee has some of the UK's finest white water rafting at Bala - 5 miles away and Llangollen - 15 miles away. A huge variety of lake water sports are available at Wales' biggest lake at Bala, at Bala Lake Watersports.

Golf

The challenging course of both Bala and Llangollen are only a 15 minute drive away. We are are happy to book tee times and by prior arrangement, happy to drop off and collect from both courses (charges apply).

Team Sports

A Robertson favourite! If we’re around we love nothing more than hosting a rigorous impromptu game of ‘footie’ on the lawn. With goals provided, please let us know in advance if you would like to arrange access to our private 5 aside football pitch! If all that sounds too energetic, we also have croquet equipment available too.

Messing about on the river…

Feel free to make use of the River Dee, perhaps for just a general ‘cooling off’ after a long walk. Children must always be supervised. Private river barbecue site is also available by prior arrangement which includes marquee, seating, tables and barbecue. Charges will apply.
